There is plenty to keep the young men occupied these days, and the tailoring room is among the busiest spots. Lessons in tailoring and dressmaking are progressing well, with the men spending time cutting fabric, operating sewing machines and learning the finer details of garment making. What makes this particularly encouraging is the progress of James, whose journey continues to amaze us.
Some may remember that James arrived at the center in a very weak condition and could not even feed himself. Today, he is making remarkable strides in tailoring and is steadily mastering the trade. Seeing him work with such enthusiasm is a wonderful reminder of how far God's grace can carry someone when given the right support, guidance, and opportunity.
Meanwhile, the chicken project has its own good news to report! The flock continues to increase, and the hens have been generous with their production. The young men now have enough eggs to enjoy as part of their meals, making the poultry project a welcome addition to the center's daily food supply.
SOJC Eggs..🐔
Even Bishop was not left out of the harvest! Some eggs made their way home for the family to enjoy. After all, when the hens are laying and the baskets are filling, there is every reason to smile. 😄
Looking at these developments, one cannot help but marvel at God's goodness. From practical skills being mastered to food being produced within the center, we are grateful for the many ways He continues to provide. We give Him all the glory!
