📰 Hope on the Streets: A Day of Outreach in Machakos

Machakos moved at its usual pace that morning—vehicles squeezing through busy streets, traders calling out to customers, and groups gathering in familiar corners of town. Yet woven into the bustle was a different assignment, one centered not on schedules or business, but people.

Bishop Simon Kabocho, Rev. Simon Mamu, and Counselor Mr. Kennedy spent part of the day engaging with men and women living on the streets, taking time to speak, pray, and share words of encouragement. It was not a hurried visit. Conversations stretched naturally, shaped by listening ears and open hearts.

The encounters carried a mix of emotions. Some spoke quietly about broken relationships and difficult seasons, while others shared memories of life before addiction and hardship took hold. Every now and then, laughter slipped into the exchanges—a reminder that even in difficult places, the human spirit still searches for light moments.

As the hours passed, prayers were offered, hands were shaken, and familiar truths about hope and restoration were shared. The outreach reflected a simple but powerful message: no life is beyond God’s reach, and no situation is too far gone for grace to begin working.

😄 Bible Joke of the Day:
Why did Jesus tell stories with fishermen in them? Because He knew they would catch on! 🎣

By the close of the visit, the streets had not changed, but perhaps a few hearts had been encouraged. Sometimes, the most meaningful work begins with presence—showing up, listening, and reminding someone they are seen.
