Happy New Year! As the calendar turned and 2025 drew to a close, the final days of the year offered a powerful reflection of growth, faith, and quiet victories at the center. Rather than ending with noise or spectacle, the year concluded with something deeper—a public step of obedience and a renewed sense of purpose among the young men.
The closing highlight came through a water baptism held after the completion of the discipleship program. One by one, the young men stepped forward, marking their commitment in a moment that felt both personal and communal. Family members and close friends were present, witnessing firsthand what God has been doing in their lives. The service reflected Christ’s clear instruction:
“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” — Matthew 28:19 (NKJV)
Earlier announcements about the baptism had also drawn interest from some church members and friends who expressed a desire to be part of it. They came specifically for the baptism service and were warmly included alongside the young men from the center, turning the gathering into a shared celebration of faith rather than a private event.

2nd Update: 👐
Moha Visits Us...
On a different day altogether, early December, another encouraging moment unfolded quietly. Mohammed—who left the streets in 2018—paid us a visit at the center, carrying paint brushes instead of baggage from the past. Trained through the National Youth Service (NYS), he spent the day refreshing walls and giving the space a new look. His visit was brief but meaningful, a reminder that transformation often circles back as service.
As the year closed, these moments captured its true ending—not just a date on the calendar, but lives continuing to be shaped, restored, and redirected. It was a fitting way to step into a new year with hope.
😄 Bible Joke of the Day:
Why did John the Baptist prefer baptizing in the river?
Because he believed in going with the flow! 🌊✝️
